Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)
Morocco's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) is an enhanced version of the Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) that Morocco submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat on June 5 2015.
The implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)
This report on the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) provides an introduction about the Morocco's legal and governance framework for responding to climate challenges, as well as information on how the Kingdom will translate its commitments into action and concrete projects.
NDC investment and financing plan
The country has developed its NDC investment and financing plan to ensure green growth. This Plan follows on from the Green Investment Plan and calls for substantial climate finance to support sustainable, low-carbon economic development.
NDC Roadmap
In light of sectoral consultations, the roadmap for implementing the NDC has been developed. This roadmap is iterative and may be updated periodically. It presents five main areas of intervention, with the aim of:

Provide clear direction to government and non-government actors regarding government intentions;

Anchor the implementation of the NDC in national and sectoral development policies;

Ensure compliance with the provisions of the Paris Agreement, with regard to the NDC.
Moroccan Climate Change Policy (MCCP)
This Climate Change Policy is the operational framework for the development of a medium and long-term strategy to respond proactively and ambitiously to the challenges posed by climate change. It forms the basis for coordinating the various measures and initiatives initiated to combat climate change and is intended to be a structuring, dynamic, participatory and flexible political instrument for establishing the fundamentals of climate resilient green growth.
The National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSDD)
The National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSDD) was developed through broad consultation with all stakeholders: the public sector, private operators and civil society. The NSDD is the translation of this commitment to operationalize sustainable development across the Kingdom.
The National Communications of Morocco
The National Communications of Morocco are a summary of the main information to be communicated to the Conference of the Parties. This information is given in accordance with the guidelines adopted by the Conference for the preparation of the initial national communications of non-Annex I Parties to the Convention. The detailed information can be found in the national communication documents and in the documents of the technical studies that were used in the preparation of the communication, notably "the national inventory of greenhouse gas emissions in Morocco", " the study of vulnerability and adaptation of Morocco facing CC '' and the study of policies and measures to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions ''.
Biennial Report
This first updated Biennial Report of the Kingdom of Morocco follows the submission by Morocco of its Contribution at the national level "INDC" and will be followed by the submission, before the end of February 2016, of the first updated Biennial Report "BUR1".
The National Climate Plan
The National Climate Plan (PCN) 2030 confirms the national vision to "Make its territory and civilization more resilient in the face of climate change while ensuring a rapid transition to a low-carbon economy".
This National Climate Plan 2030 constitutes the basis for coordination and the framework for the development of a medium and long-term climate policy making it possible to respond proactively and ambitiously to the challenges posed by climate change at national and international level.
Roadmap for the financial sector
Roadmap for the alignment of the Moroccan financial sector with sustainable development lists the actions and measures to be implemented for the coordinated and progressive alignment of the Moroccan financial sector, including banking, insurance and capital market activities , on the challenges of sustainable development and therefore, to favor the emergence of a real multidimensional "sustainable finance", in the sense that it must take into account both environmental concerns, in particular those induced by change , social and governance.
Climate finance guide for regions
In order to facilitate the identification of territorial projects eligible for climate finance, a screening and prioritization methodology for projects was developed and tested in 5 pilot regions. It was carried out with the support of the 4C IKI Project, implemented by GIZ jointly with the Department of Environment. This guide is thus based on a concrete process carried out with territorial actors and takes into account the specificities of the Moroccan context.
National GHG Inventory System (SNI-GES)
In accordance with its international commitments within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), in particular the strengthening of the transparency of actions aimed at the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, Morocco has set up, since 2015, a National GHG Inventory System called 'SNI-GES'.
Collection of laws relating to environmental protection
This book contains all the laws and regulatory decrees directly related to environmental protection and sustainable development. It has been prepared with the aim of showing the significant qualitative advance which the legal system relating to the environment has known in our country in recent years.
